Weather predictions show Arnett on the line where we may or may not have moisture in the morning. We will be out early to drive and assess road conditions to determine if school will be in session. We are also aware of the predicted cold conditions and we encourage our students to prepare appropriately. We are lucky enough that our students are either picked up at their homes or dropped off at school. If your student needs a ride in the cold please contact the office. The safety of our students and families is our top priority, so if you feel conditions are not safe, you are always welcome to make the decision to keep your child at home. We will provide an update as soon as possible regarding the status of school tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

This week's Farmer's and Merchant's Bank "Banking on a Wildcat" goes to two of our Sophomores. Lincoln Coleman and Hadley Brooks were both nominated by a teacher and they had this to say about them: "A post player in basketball has to be willing to give their all from baseline to baseline, even though they might not always get the ball. They are the last one that can protect the basket. They must be willing to sacrifice their body on every play. These two Sophomores are never the biggest on the court, but often have a tough job. Not only do they work hard on the hardwood, they work hard in the classroom. Both are productive members of the Arnett BETA Club, maintaining 3.5+ GPA's, and show just how bright the future of AHS can be." Congratulations, Hadley and Lincoln!

AHS is hosting a Financial Aid night on Wednesday, February 19, from 5:00-7:00 PM in the HS Library. A financial aid advisor will be here to consult one-on-one with families concerning FAFSA and Oklahoma's Promise. 2025 Seniors filling out the FAFSA need to create a Student/Parent FSA ID at studentaid.gov prior to Feb. 19. Parents/guardians need to bring a copy of their 2023 Federal Tax Return and know their savings/investments amounts. For Oklahoma's Promise, parents/guardians need to know their yearly gross income and how many dependents they have.

The Arnett FCA group enjoyed a men's basketball game today at The University of Oklahoma. 38 students and 4 sponsors took "The Wildcat Express" to Norman and enjoyed the game, free food, fellowship, and some awesome testimonies from some of the athletes at the rally. Didn't get to take many pictures, but everyone enjoyed the day!
