Newspaper for the week of January 2, 2023

The 4th-6th grade students completed their cereal box book reports right before Christmas break.  They had to read a biography and pass the AR test.  Then they decorated a cereal box to go along with their book.  Everyone really enjoyed this project.

On Tuesday, December 20, 2022, the elementary students presented their annual Christmas program.  The Pre-K through 2nd grade students started the entertainment by singing several songs and playing their instruments.  They are always so fun to watch.  Then the 3rd-6th grade students presented their play “Christmas at the OK Corral”.  The play was excellent as usual.  Thanks so much to our awesome music teacher, Mrs. Broyles, for making this happen every year.

Students finished up the first semester by being treated to the annual movie at Canadian.  Kindergarten through 6th graders enjoyed watching “Lyle, Lyle Crocodile” while being treated to popcorn and sodas.  Upon returning to school they had their class Christmas parties and finished the day by seeing Santa.  Thanks so much to the Kiwanis for making this happen every year.  We are looking forward to an awesome 2nd semester after the break and hope that everyone returns happy and especially healthy!
