The end of the year is coming quick, and the count down is on! This week has been just as busy as the last couple. Several state tests were taken this past week. The students are more than ready for testing to end.

The Arnett Pre-k took a trip to the dairy in Gage and had the opportunity to feed some bottle calves. After visiting the dairy, they went to the Arnett city park to eat a sonic lunch and spent the afternoon playing.

Wednesday our 3rd-6th grade classes celebrated making their AR reading goals for the year! If they met all three of their first nine weeks point goals or hit 100 points, they earned their trip to OKC to watch the Dodger baseball game. At the game, each student received a hat, a hot dog box complete with a cookie and drink! The Dodgers won 6-2. It was a great day at the ball park!

Thursday the Lady Wildcats softball team traveled to Roff for the regional tournament. They defeated Ft. Cobb 7-2, and then turned around and beat Hammon 11-1 to punch their ticket to the state tournament. Congratulations, Lady Wildcats!

Sunday was another busy day around the school. The annual Miss Arnett pageant was held in the Auditorium at 2:00. We had four contestants compete for Miss Arnett, Emma Knowles, Skyler Range, Anna Hope Sant'Anna, Jenna Thomas, and two for Mr. AHS, Seth Vallaster and Gui Carvalho.
All the contestants looked great and did a fantastic job! This group of young ladies are very talented! Congrats to our new Miss Arnett 2023, Skyler Range! 1st Runner Up was Anna Hope Sant'Anna. For Miss Congeniality we had a tie, Jenna Thomas & Skyler Range. Our new MR. AHS  is Seth Vallaster. Thank you to Mary Weaver for putting this on and helping the girls prepare!

Later Sunday evening, the community held a state send off dinner to celebrate Gui Carvalho for making it to the state track meet in the long jump,
and the Lady Wildcats making the slow pitch state tournament.  They had a great turn out! Thanks to everyone who come and support our students!
