Elementary Christmas movie

Wildcat News for week of December 23, 2021

The Elementary students started the week off by traveling to the North Pole on  “The Polar Express” in their classrooms to get them all in the spirit of Christmas.  Since it was homecoming week, everyone was wearing their pajamas for our dress up day.  They enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies provided by the SWAT team.  Thanks so much to all who helped with the cookies.  This has become an annual tradition at Arnett Elementary, and the kids look forward to it each and every year.

On Thursday, December 16, the elementary students and teachers traveled to Canadian, Texas, for the annual Christmas trip to the movies.  They had a great time watching “Clifford the Big Red Dog” and enjoying pop and popcorn provided by the school.

That afternoon the 4th-6th grade students who met their 2nd nine week’s AR goal were able to attend the “breakfast themed” AR Party where they enjoyed milk and donuts.  Students have been working hard the last nine weeks to reach their individual goals, and we look forward to rewarding those students that reach their goal.

Thursday evening was the Elementary Christmas Play, “Holiday Road Trip”, presented by the 3rd through 6th grade students.  Pre-K through 2nd grade also sang Christmas songs to begin the program.  The program was under the direction of music teacher, Mrs. Gaisford.

The week of Christmas was finished off with Elementary classes having their Christmas parties with students by having yummy snacks and exchanging gifts.  Everyone is looking forward to a great holiday season and ready to start 2022 off by returning to school on Monday, January 3, 2022.
