Wildcats Shine on the Field and in the Classroom
It was another busy and exciting week for our Wildcats, with plenty of action both on the playing fields and in the classroom!
⚾ Baseball
The Wildcat baseball team had a busy week with four games and some impressive wins. On Tuesday, the boys hosted Cheyenne-Reydon. After a hard-fought game, the Wildcats fell 5-13.
The team bounced back on Thursday when they played Goodwell. The Wildcats dominated from start to finish, earning an impressive 20-0 victory.
On Friday, the boys traveled to take on Fargo-Gage-Fort Supply. They continued their winning ways, defeating their opponents 10-2.
The Wildcats finished the week with a rematch against Cheyenne-Reydon on Saturday. This time, the boys came out on top with a convincing 9-1 victory. After losing to Cheyenne-Reydon earlier in the week, the Wildcats showed great determination and came back strong to earn the win!

🥎 Girls Softball
The Lady Wildcats also had a busy week on the softball field. On Thursday, the girls hosted a three-way at home against Fairview and Hinton. The Lady Wildcats came away with two victories, defeating Fairview 4-3 and Hinton 7-3.
On Friday, the girls faced Drummond in another competitive game. The Lady Wildcats fought hard but fell 0-3.
The team wrapped up the week on Saturday against Turpin. After another hard-fought game, the Lady Wildcats were defeated 4-8. The girls showed great effort throughout the week and continue to work hard as they take on each new opponent.
🔬 5th Grade Science Gets Messy!
Learning science can sometimes get a little messy! Fifth grade science students have been studying the states of matter and had the opportunity to explore the properties of matter through a hands-on activity.
Last week, students made oobleck and enjoyed getting messy while observing its unusual properties. Oobleck is especially interesting because it can behave like both a solid and a liquid depending on how force is applied to it. The activity gave students a fun and memorable way to connect what they are learning in class with a hands-on scientific investigation.

🔬 6th Grade Scientists at Work
Sixth graders have also been busy exploring the world of science. Students have been learning more about living things and are developing their microscope skills.
Students have been learning how to properly use and handle microscopes so they can observe different organisms up close. By practicing their microscope techniques, students are preparing to investigate the tiny structures and organisms that cannot be seen with the naked eye.

🤠 Arnett Ranch Rodeo Coming Soon!
The excitement continues in Arnett as the Arnett Ranch Rodeo is coming up September 25–26! The annual event will offer plenty of fun activities for the entire community to enjoy.
Visitors can look forward to a variety of activities throughout the weekend, including a 5K Run, a pancake breakfast hosted by the baseball team, and games on the courthouse lawn hosted by the Beta Club. The Amazing Race will also be part of the weekend's activities, along with much more!
The pancake breakfast will be by donation only, giving the community a great opportunity to enjoy a delicious breakfast while supporting the Wildcat baseball team. With activities for all ages, the Arnett Ranch Rodeo promises to be a fun-filled weekend and a great time to come together as a community.
