With OSSAA Dead Week behind us, Summer Pride is once again in full swing at Arnett Public Schools. Coaches and student-athletes are back in the gym, weight room, and on the practice fields, putting in the hard work necessary to prepare both their bodies and their teams for the upcoming school year. The dedication shown during the summer months lays the foundation for success when competition begins this fall.

Monday evening also brought another gathering of the Arnett High School Book Club. Students met to discuss their second summer read, The Inheritance Games. The evening was filled with thoughtful conversation, plenty of snacks, and lively discussion as members shared their thoughts about the novel's twists, characters, and mysteries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, students exchanged The Inheritance Games for July's selection, Dreamland Burning. The club has enjoyed a great start to the summer, and there is still plenty of room for additional members. Any high school student who enjoys reading, discussing great books, and spending time with friends is encouraged to join. It's a wonderful opportunity to discover new books, build friendships, and keep reading throughout the summer.

The Arnett Beta Club's Cunningham Peaches fundraiser is still underway. Fresh Colorado peaches and jars of pure, raw honey are still available for pre-order, and every purchase helps support Beta Club activities and student travel opportunities. If you would like to place an order, please contact Mrs. Burcham or any Junior or Senior Beta Club member.

Arnett Public Schools is also continuing to accept bids on the Chevy 2500 Crew Cab 4x4 pickup. Community members interested in submitting a bid are encouraged to review the district's bid information before the deadline.

As summer temperatures continue to climb, we hope everyone finds time to stay active while also staying safe. Be sure to drink plenty of water, find ways to stay cool, and enjoy the remainder of the summer. Before we know it, another exciting school year will be here. Have a wonderful and safe week, Wildcats!
