It has been a relatively quiet week at Arnett Public Schools, but that won't last long. As OSSAA Dead Week comes to an end, preparations for another exciting school year are beginning to pick up, and there is already plenty of good news to share.
Congratulations to 2026 graduate Abbie Boyd as she begins an exciting new chapter. Abbie recently visited Oklahoma Panhandle State University, where she toured the campus, officially enrolled, and took the next step toward achieving her goal of attending veterinary school.
While on campus, Abbie also signed with the university's shooting sports team and will be a member of the first full women's shooting team in the program's history. Her coach shared his excitement about the milestone, explaining that in previous years there were typically only one or two women on the team, who competed alongside the men's team. This year, however, the program will field both a men's team and a women's team competing side by side. Congratulations, Abbie! We wish you the very best as you represent both Oklahoma Panhandle State University and the Arnett community.

The Arnett Beta Club has also kicked off one of its favorite annual fundraisers. Once again, the club is partnering with Cunningham Peaches to offer delicious Colorado peaches and locally produced honey. Community members may now pre-order peaches, which are sold by the full box for $53. Each box contains approximately 18 to 20 pounds, or around 40 large peaches. Twenty-four-ounce glass jars of pure, raw, high-altitude honey are also available for $17 each. Orders will be delivered to Arnett on Saturday, August 15. Anyone interested in placing an order may contact Mrs. Burcham or any Junior or Senior Beta Club member. As always, thank you for supporting our Beta students and the many opportunities these fundraisers help provide.

Arnett Public Schools is also accepting sealed bids on a Chevy 2500 Crew Cab 4x4 pickup. Bids will be accepted until noon on Monday, July 13, 2026. Information about the vehicle, along with bid submission details, is available in the district's official bid announcement.

Although it has been a quiet week around campus, that quiet won't last much longer. With Dead Week nearly behind us, summer activities will soon resume, and before long our hallways will once again be filled with students preparing for another outstanding year at Arnett Public Schools.
