The last full week of school was certainly a busy one at Arnett, filled with fun activities and memorable experiences from beginning to end. As the school year winds down, students and staff are making the most of every moment together.
Members of the FFA chapter traveled to Tulsa to attend the State FFA Convention, representing Arnett and taking part in leadership activities and events alongside students from across the state.
Students in grades 3 through 6 who successfully met their AR goals for the year were rewarded with a special field trip to an Oklahoma City Comets baseball game. The trip was a fun way to celebrate the students’ hard work and commitment to reading throughout the year.
Back on campus, students and faculty from both the elementary and high school enjoyed stopping by Mrs. Ham’s 6th grade classroom for a unique hands-on learning experience. Mrs. Ham’s students recently hatched chicks in their classroom, giving many students the opportunity to witness the process up close for the very first time. While it was a new experience for some, it was an enjoyable one for everyone involved.

The 4th grade science class studied body systems. Students had the opportunity to dissect chicken wings to examine the skin, muscles, tendons, joints, and skeletal structure. Activities like this help bring science lessons to life and allow students to better understand how the body works through direct observation and exploration. Arnett is fortunate to have teachers who are passionate about creating engaging, hands-on learning opportunities for their students.

Friday was packed full of activities as well. The day began with Baccalaureate practice and the Senior Walk-Through, allowing graduating seniors to make one final walk through the halls as students and staff cheered them on. The Elementary Talent Show followed, showcasing the many talents and personalities of Arnett’s younger students.

Students then headed to the town park to enjoy games and activities before gathering together for a fun Frisbee lunch. The afternoon focused on giving back to the community through the school’s Annual Trash Pick Up. Students and staff worked together to help clean up the community that continually supports Arnett schools in so many ways.
