Miss Arnett Pageant was held Sunday, April 12, at the Arnett Auditorium, showcasing an evening of talent, poise, and community spirit.
This year’s pageant featured four contestants: Madison Haney, Julia Cabrera, Bristen Robertson, and Melissa Sovik. Each participant competed in several categories: casual introductions, formal wear, talent, and interview, demonstrating both confidence and individuality throughout the event.
Supporting the contestants were Mr. AHS escorts and prop managers Eli Coykendall, Lincoln Coleman, Ricardo Catapano, Troy Burton, and Randy Burton, who played an important role in keeping the evening running smoothly. Adding a special touch to the program were flower girls Caroline Wayland and Sloane Whitson.
The event was led by Mistress of Ceremonies Gayla Bowman, who guided the audience through the evening’s program.
At the conclusion of the competition, Bristen Robertson was crowned Miss Arnett for 2026–2027. Madison Haney was named runner-up and also received the title of Miss Congeniality. All contestants were praised for their outstanding performances and the grace they brought to the stage.

It was an unusually busy and exciting week for Arnett athletics, as both softball and baseball teams stayed active across multiple competitions.
Arnett Schools hosted high school softball and baseball tournaments simultaneously, bringing a full schedule of games.
Meanwhile, the junior high baseball team traveled to Mooreland to participate in their own tournament. The young squad showed determination and resilience, battling to earn a spot in the championship game.
Unfortunately, weather conditions forced the cancellation of the championship, cutting short what had been an impressive run for the team. Despite the disappointment, the players’ efforts did not go unnoticed.
With their strong performance and teamwork, this group has already shown promise and is expected to be an exciting team to watch both on and off the field in the years ahead.

Arnett had four seniors selected to the FCA All- Area team. Abbie Boyd, Breclyn Suthers, and Allie Tune could not make the banquet. Martin Sanchez was able to attend. Coach Royal said, “Our FCA chapter is our community youth group, and I have enjoyed watching these kids grow and mature in their faith.” The speaker at the banquet shared a message about being obedient to God and not forgetting how Christ was and is obedient to us.
