This week we celebrated FFA Week to honor FFA members, farmers, and ranchers. Our FFA students did a wonderful job helping around the school. They greeted the elementary students with smiles, cooked a delicious breakfast for our teachers and staff, and read an agriculture book to the younger classes. On Friday, everyone joined the fun by dressing in blue and gold to show their support for FFA.

Last week, the Area tournament took place in Clinton. On Thursday, the Lady Wildcats traveled to Clinton to play against Corn Bible Academy. It was a nail-biting game, but the Lady Wildcats won with a close score of 38–36! The crowd cheered as the final buzzer sounded.

On Friday, the girls returned to Clinton to take on Buffalo. They started the game a little slow but did not give up. With teamwork and determination, they came back strong and earned another big win, 57-45, advancing to the area consolation finals.

The boys also traveled to Clinton to play for the Area Championship. They faced the Leedey Bison in a tough game, but the boys played hard but ended up losing, 58-42.

On Saturday, both teams traveled back to Clinton to compete in the Area consolation games. The Lady Wildcats worked hard and pulled off an exciting win against Chattanooga. With that victory, they punched their ticket to the state tournament! The boys also battled Chattanooga, fighting hard the entire game. Even though they gave it their best effort, they were defeated 48–33.

The Lady Wildcats will now head to Oklahoma City to play in the very first state basketball game in the new coliseum. They will tip off on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. against Lomega. We are so proud of our teams and wish the Lady Wildcats the best of luck at state! There will be no school Tuesday so go cheer on our Lady Wildcats!
