This week was full of excitement and pride for our school and community.
On Tuesday, our school hosted a special Veterans Day program to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Students, teachers, and families gathered in the auditorium to recognize 18 veterans who joined us. The audience listened to patriotic music sang by our elementary students, speeches, and a slideshow to show appreciation for their service. It was a meaningful event that reminded everyone how important our veterans are to our freedom.

Basketball season is also in full swing, and our teams have been busy on the court.
Monday in Beaver, the 5th and 6th grade boys and girls teams played first. After their games, the junior high girlswon with a strong score of 35–20, and the junior high boys defeated the Beaver Dusters 62–34.

The Arnett Robotics team has been busy this week. They practiced their Marketing Presentation for the School board on Wednesday evening and again for the Arnett Kiwanis Club on Thursday. They would like to give a huge thank you for the wonderful lunch and the very generous donation the Kiwanis gave them.
The HS Science classes have enjoyed some labs this week too. Sophomore Biology has been using Microscopes to view the differences in Plant, Animal, Protist, Fungal & Bacterial cells while Freshman Physical Science students were exploring the reactivities of various metals in hydrochloric acid.
