A Strong Start to the 2025–2026 School Year

The first days of the 2025–2026 school year at Arnett Public Schools went smoothly, setting the tone for what promises to be another great year. After three full days of in-service training, staff were eager to welcome students back.

The excitement began Wednesday afternoon with Meet the Teacher Night. Families started arriving right at four o’clock, and the evening was a success, with students meeting their teachers, seeing their classrooms, and preparing for the year ahead. That positive energy carried into the first day of school on Thursday, where hallways were once again filled with the sounds of learning and laughter.

Athletics were also in full swing. Games kicked off earlier in the week and carried through Thursday and Friday, bringing the community together to cheer on Wildcat athletes.

This strong start to the year would not have been possible without the incredible support of the Arnett community. Farmers & Merchants Bank provided a staff lunch at Gusto’s following Monday’s training. The Arnett Church of Christ treated faculty to a breakfast buffet on Tuesday, while the United Methodist Women of the Arnett Methodist Church provided a delicious lunch on Wednesday, along with donating school supplies. Arnett Mercantile is offering a free coffee to school staff on Monday, and the Arnett S.W.A.T. Team surprised both the elementary and high school with a generous supply of coffee and hot cocoa.

There are not enough words to express the gratitude the district feels for these thoughtful and generous contributions. Family and community support continues to be at the heart of Arnett’s success, ensuring that both staff and students thrive.

Thank you to all who made the first week of school such a memorable and positive one!
