With less than three weeks until the start of school, this week’s Wildcat Corner is packed with important updates to help you and your students prepare for the year ahead. We’re excited to welcome everyone back and can’t wait for a fantastic 2025–2026 school year!
New Cell Phone Policy – Effective July 1, 2025
In accordance with Senate Bill 139, all Oklahoma public schools are required to limit personal electronic device use during the school day. Arnett Public Schools is committed to maintaining a focused, connected, and distraction-free environment.
What You Need to Know:
Devices must be off and out of sight from the first bell to the last.
Applies to:
Cell phones
Smartwatches / smart glasses
Earbuds / headphones
iPods / personal music players
Any internet-connected device
Elementary (Pre-K–6):
Phones will be collected and stored by homeroom teachers.
Junior High / High School (7–12):
Devices may be brought at your own risk
Use only before school and after dismissal
Not permitted during class, passing periods, or lunch
Exceptions may apply during school-related field trips

Call the school office. Students may also request to use the office phone during the day.
We encourage families to begin preparing students now for this change. Thank you for partnering with us to support a positive and focused learning experience for all students.
