Another week of summer brought more learning, fun, and farewells at Arnett Public Schools. Students continued to participate in Summer School and Summer Pride, keeping their minds and bodies active during the break.
With the pool now open, students had a refreshing way to stay cool, burn off energy, and spend time with friends. It’s been a favorite part of the week, providing both fun and relaxation.
In the classroom, Mrs. Broyles’ summer school class explored the fascinating history of China’s terracotta soldiers. Students capped off the lesson by creating their own soldiers out of play dough — a fun, hands-on activity that brought ancient history to life.
Meanwhile, it was an emotional and proud week for the school community as several seniors played their final games. Casi Noreuil, Cadie McCracken, and Landry Bayless represented Arnett in the K-101 Classic Bowl Fast Pitch game on Wednesday. Harley Shoaf, Cadie McCracken, and Landry Bayless also earned spots on the All-State Fast Pitch Small West team, an outstanding achievement that reflects years of dedication and talent.
Having three All-State athletes in a single graduating class is a special honor. These young women have demonstrated excellence not only on the field, but also in the classroom and the community. Their hard work, character, and leadership make them excellent role models for younger students.
Though their presence in the halls of AHS will be missed, the entire school community looks forward to seeing the bright futures that await them.
