Summer break is almost in our grasp! The last week of school is filled to the brim with activities, fun, and awards.
Graduation is this week, and we only have a couple more members of the class of 2024 to recognize. This week, our "Senior Spotlight" features Mr. Merced Sanchez. Congratulations, Merced!
This week's Farmers and Merchants Bank "Banking on a Wildcat" goes to Nicolas Sant'Anna. Nicolas's teachers had this to say about him: "Nicolas is a hardworking, intelligent, motivated, talented, and humble young man. He wants to better himself in the classroom and in his extracurriculars; therefore, he consistently pays attention, respects his teachers & coaches, and puts in the time & effort it takes to make improvements. Nicolas is a quiet leader, setting an example with integrity and humility." Congratulations, Nicolas!
Seniors Brianna Marenco and Talara Brown were selected to the 2024 K101 Classic Bowl Fast Pitch Softball team and Leland Williams All-Star team. Congrats, girls!
FFA members and Mr. Johnston propagated over 200 plants to be planted in the FFA Garden for this summer. Things they planted include: bell peppers, okra, jalapeños, yellow squash, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, Roma tomatoes, sweet corn, Halloween blend pumpkins, Jack be little pumpkins, and big moon pumpkins, which can be upwards of 200 lbs. Be on the lookout for fresh produce grown by your Arnett FFA Members this summer!
Mrs. Broyles took eighteen 7th & 8th graders to the Tri-State Music Festival in Enid. There were eleven students representing Arnett in the Honor Choir and seven students in the Honor Band.

The Ellis County Track Meet was held Tuesday, May 7, in Shattuck for 1st-6th graders
2nd Graders Noah Coykendall, Spencer Royal, Sloane Whitson, and Tinsley Johnston placed 2nd in the 1st/2nd Girls Relay Race.
Twelve Arnett FFA members, along with FFA Advisor Mr. Johnston attended the State FFA Convention in Tulsa this past week.
