This week's Farmer's and Merchant's Bank "Banking on a Wildcat'' goes to Kristi Haney. Kristi's colleagues had this to say about her: "Kristi is one of the hardest working employees at Arnett Public Schools. She's always brightening everyone's day with a good attitude and a smile on her face. She holds kids accountable and pushes them to be the best they can. There's no slacking when it comes to Miss Kristi and Arnett is blessed to have her!" Congratulations, Kristi!

Arnett band students have been busy lately performing and competing in several different venues.

Levi Starkey, Adante Smith, Bella Booth, and Derick Girton recently traveled to Alva for the All-Area Elementary Honor Band. The Elementary Honor Band consisted of first and second year band students in 5th, 6th, and 7th grades from northwest Oklahoma. They practiced all day and then performed a concert that evening.

9th graders Randy Burton and Katie Girton, spent two days at NWOSU practicing and performing with the Red Carpet 8th and 9th Grade Honor Band. Randy and Katie were chosen for the honor band after auditioning in Fairview last fall. Troy Burton preformed an alto saxophone solo at the OSSAA District Contest and received a superior rating, qualifying him to compete at the OSSAA State Contest at Stillwater in April. Eli Coykendall was the accompanist for Troy’s solo and will also be traveling to Stillwater. The Arnett Band will be performing in the Arnett Arts Concert at the high school auditorium on April 23, 7:00 p.m. Arnett JH and HS band and choir students will have an opportunity to be a part of the Tri-State Honor Band and Honor Choir in May. Their concert will be May 3rd in Enid. Mrs. Broyles is extremely proud of all the successes of our band students and looks forward to seeing their continued growth.

Arnett High School ended the week by hosting the Ellis County Career Fair. This is the third year Mrs. Kincannon has coordinated the event. 43 people gave their time to speak with these students about different career paths.

Junior Sean Sanchez, sophomore Dayson West and junior Baxter Brown talk with representatives from Arnett Enid New Holland Kubota.
