Friday, October 20 the Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade class took their Fall Field Trip to Kenny Farms east of Woodward. While at the pumpkin patch students enjoyed petting and feeding the animals. The most beloved pet at the farm was a new baby llama. Students were able to do hay barrel mazes, giant slides, swings, and numerous activities. The weather was perfect for a day at the farm.
Twenty Arnett Beta members attended the Beta Leadership Summit held at Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, Texas. They attended two leadership sessions as well as participated in officer training and leadership challenges. Jr. and Sr. Beta Officers attended Beta officer training and received a plaque as an Outstanding Leadership School.
Hadley Brooks, Allie Tune, Cadie McCracken, Landry Bayless, Landree Parsons, and Harley Shoaf qualified for Nationals in the leadership challenge Collaboration Connection. Eli Coykendall, Zanston Clark, Lincoln Coleman, John Campbell, Nicolas Sant’Anna, Abbie Boyd, and Bristen Robertson also qualified for nationals in Lead Outside the Box. Both groups will compete in Savannah, Georgia, next June.
Jamie Vallejo has been working on in Mrs. Coleman’s chemistry class. He has been learning about chemical reactions, and as a project, he spent several weeks building a volcano. Jamie proudly erupted his volcano last Thursday.
