In the classroom this week, Mrs. Wheeler’s 5th grade reading class has been enjoying their latest novel project. They read The Indian in the Cupboard and created Digital Art. They had to use two different websites to create their images.

In Mrs. Ham’s 5th grade science class, the 5th graders are continuing their learning over the states of matter and their properties. The students made charts and used root beer floats to model different states of matter.

Over in the Tech Ed building, Mr. McDonald has the kids excited to be learning and creating. They have been busy with multiple projects. One of their projects they completed was engineering their own bridges out of balsa wood. After learning all about the importance of trusses, they completed their bridge model. Then, they had to apply weight to see whose bridge supported the most weight. Kylie Garcia and Brianna Burton built the strongest bridge holding 98 lbs!

The A-Town TV group is sponsoring the Arnett Ranch Rodeo 5K run/walk this year. Students are free to participate in the run,  but anyone 18 & up will be $10. Come out and support our students Saturday, September 30th! Registration will begin at 6:30am. The race will kick off at 7.
