Wildcat News for April 20, 2023

On Wednesday, April 12, 2023, 3rd-6th grade students were rewarded for their hard work reading throughout the year when they attended an OKC Dodgers game for their annual AR Field Trip.  Students qualified for the trip by either reaching their AR points goal each of the nine weeks or by obtaining 100 or more points throughout the year.  A Dodgers baseball cap and lunch was provided when students arrived at the game.  The students had a wonderful time watching the game and especially visiting the concession stands and the gift shop!  Congratulations to them all for all their hard work.

The Arnett Fine Arts Department will be presenting a program in the high school auditorium on April 25th at 7:00 p.m.  The program will include performances by the 5th & 6th grade choir, the 7th & 8th grade band, the high school speech students, and a book reading by our school librarian. There will also be a student art gallery set up in the high school hallway.   We are excited to be sharing the many talents of our students with our community and hope you will join us.

The Beta Club is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, April 26, from 1:00-5:30 p.m. in the gym lobby.  They always appreciate those who are willing and able to give.  Also, make plans to attend Miss Arnett/Mr. Irresistible at the school auditorium on Sunday, April 30.

The Softball District Tournament was Monday, April 17, in Arnett.  Arnett and Waynoka will have a double elimination playoff.  The District Baseball Tournament is at Duke on April 20-21.
